2024 Summer Immersion Project
REPERTORY FOCUS
About
The Summer Immersion Project (SIP) is designed as a rigorous training experience for motivated dancers, ages 18 and older, within a professional contemporary repertory dance company environment. During SIP you will study, rehearse and perform with co-artistic director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and the dance artists of Boston Dance Theater. SIP provides a deep dive into learning BDT repertory and rehearsal process.
Each morning SIP participants will take BDT's daily company technique class taught by current Core Members (see styles below). Afternoon sessions will focus on learning BDT's current repertory. On the last day of SIP there will be an informal sharing during which participants will present the work they have learned to a closed audience of friends and family. Upon completion of the program SIP participants may be considered for positions within the Trainee Program or Company.
