About The Event
Join us for an outdoor, participatory dance performance by Boston Dance Theater and members of the SURGE East Boston Coastal Community Artist Fellowship. Witness dance and engage in dialogue about the climate crisis, sea level rise, and coastal impacts. The performance is the conclusion of a two-month collaboration between the Boston Dance Theater and local artists, in partnership with The Boston Foundation + The Trustees.
Pre-registration is availlable, and the performance is open to all visitors at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museums.
Please note that this performance will take place on the South Lawn at deCordova and visitors are invited to bring their own picnic blankets and lawn chairs. In case of rain, the location will be moved to a tent.
deCordova is pleased to present this collaborative performance, particularly as we approach the opening of the new exhibition, Downstream, which explores environmental ethics through art—namely, the unequal ways in which groups of people experience waste, infrastructure breakdown, and climate change.
