About The Event
Boston Dance Theater shares a FREE Sea-Level Rise movement workshop, in preparation for their performance of SURGE, at the Woods Hole Science Stroll at 1PM on Saturday, August 9!
All ages welcome, no dance experience needed, just come ready to explore and enjoy!
Boston Dance Theater’s SURGE performance intertwines dance, science, and climate activism. Audience members mingle with performers to witness, reflect, and dialogue about the climate crisis, current sea level rise science, and coastal impacts to come. Led by choreographer Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and ocean scientist Dr. Larry Pratt (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution), SURGE provides a platform for conversation and collective processing of the existential threats posed by climate change.
